Bob Sander

Here's an article I wrote in 1973 about Bob Sander, a Covington taxidermist and house plan designer. Click on the article for a larger, more readable view.

Bob worked at Poole Lumber Co. for many years in their home plans department, drawing up house plans for customers. He was a member of the American Institute of Building Design and was experienced in plans for everything from small houses to large estate homes. Every year Poole Lumber would put out a calendar featuring Bob's most popular designs. He helped many young couples and new residents to the area plan, design and build their dream home.

Bob Sander painted this sign for the Covington American Legion Post, where he served as Post Commander.

Sander had dozens on plans on file that he had drawn over the years. Twelve of those plans were showcased on the Poole Lumber Company calendar each year.
