Text from the above 1905 publication:

Hotel Richard is a suburban home, one of the substantial, homelike hostelries. It is located within a stone's throw of the historic Bogue Falaya River, whose convolutions are most attractive to visitors. The arrangement of the house permits of certain sections being reserved for those who desire absolute rest and seclusion, removed from all noise and excitement; while those anxious to mingle with the gayeties are equally provided for. The building has a southern exposure, and the rooms are large, light and well ventilated to insure cool breezes during the hours of sleep. (Sleep, "restful sleep" the genuine article - is to be had here.)

The water supply is pure and abundant, being furnished by artesian and deep drilled wells. It is as clear as crystal, thoroughly wholesome and free from all danger of surface contamination. Those who appreciate the danger of a polluted water supply need not feel a moment's anxiety as to this point while at the "Richard."

The cuisine and service is the acme of perfection. The hotel is supplied daily with the best and freshest the market affords.

It was later called Riverside Inn. Here is a description of that facility...
