British Car Show 2025

Several dozen foreign made automobiles were on display on streets and parking lots in downtown Covington March 29 when the annual British car show encircled the Trailhead. Here are some photographs. Click on the images to make them larger.

The event was organized by The British Motoring Club of New Orleans

Some 160 car owners signed up for the event, but the threat of stormy weather reduced the number of those who actually participated.

The British Motoring Club of New Orleans is a social club dedicated to appreciating, preserving and driving British motor vehicles.  It has over one thousand members. Membership is open to anyone who drives, owns, has owned, or is interested in British cars or motorcycles. Founded in 1977 as the Louisiana Centre of the MG Car Club, the name was changed to British Motoring Club – New Orleans to expand membership to all British cars.  The majority of members own MGs and Triumphs, but there are dozens of British marques represented from Austin Healey to Sunbeam.

Roughly of 35 percent of the group's members live in New Orleans, 30 percent on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain and 25 percent in the Baton Rouge area. The rest are scattered across the Southeast from Dallas, TX to Pensacola, FL.
