St. Scholastica Students Circa 1909

This picture shows the students at the Covington Catholic School (probably St. Scholastica Academy) sometime between 1907 and 1910. It was placed on Facebook by Madge Levy Harris, with Desiree Waguespack Maestri commenting that St. Scholastica Academy was founded in 1903 by the Benedictine Sisters as a girls boarding school, but it accepted both girl and boy day elementary students for many years.

The younger students later went to St. Peter Catholic Elementary School, while the older boys went to St. Paul's School starting in 1911.
