This photo showing students at Peace Grove school was taken in 1934. It was published in a 1965 edition of the St. Tammany Farmer newspaper. Click on the image to make it larger.
The Peace Grove School was located in the center of the parish (see red arrow), between St. Tammany Corner on Hwy 36 and Lacombe. The above topographic map was printed in 1935, around the same time as the picture taken at the school.
A 1939 Topo map shows that the Peace Grove School and Peace Grove Church were right next to each other.
