Madisonville's Serenity Circle

Down in Madisonville, in front of the new parish library branch, is a tranquil place with landscaping and benches. It is called "Serenity Circle." When you go there to contemplate the deeper meanings of the universe, you will not be alone. 

Walker Percy, the famous novelist, will also be there with you. Not actually, though, but his statue and presence will be there, for the circle is dedicated to his philosophy of life, his works of literature, and his love of western St. Tammany. It is the Walker Percy Memorial Serenity Circle."
