Grand Champion Steer
In the late 1970's a steer raised by Melissa Mizell with the Covington High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter won the Grand Champion honors at the St. Tammany Parish Livestock Show. The steer was purchased by Mizell's Nursery in Folsom.
