River Forest Country Club Golf Course

Western St. Tammany Parish has seen numerous golf courses come and go over the years. There was Odenheimer Golf Course on La. 25 between Covington and Folsom,  Louis Prima's Pretty Acres Golf Course on U.S. 190 between Covington and Mandeville, and the golf course at Fontainebleau State Park. 

There was even a golf course in River Forest subdivision.

On October 19, 1961, the River Forest Country Club Of Covington, Louisiana, Inc. was incorporated. The subdivision development planned to have the world's only lighted night time golf course. Here are some advertisements, a map and an aerial photo. Click on the images to make them larger.
