New Library in Lacombe - 1973

In the 1970's the St. Tammany Parish Library System embarked on an ambitious plan to build new library branches in several unincorporated areas. One of those libraries was to be built was in Lacombe.

In 1993, a new library building was built in Lacombe. It was an interesting new design for libraries to maximize space and showcase the books. Click on the images below to make them larger. 



In 2025 preliminary plans were drawn up for a new Lacombe Library Branch. Here is an early architectural rendering of the new building.
