Dick Clanton

Richard Clanton enjoyed working in the St. Tammany Parish Public School System for many years, and as soon as he retired, he started his second career becoming an artist in woodworking. Click on the pictures below for more information.

Mr. Clanton worked as a speech therapist with the School System, testing student's hearing. Here are two pictures during his career with the students of St. Tammany Parish. 

Prior to his retirement he expanded his workshop, readied his woodworking projects, and launched into his  retirement going full speed ahead. Pat Clanton said her husband was treating his retirement like going to work every day, designing and building his wood creations to bring joy into other people's hearts. "He always priced them so people could afford to buy them if they wanted them," she said.
