Working In The Courthouse Over the Years

In 1996 Anna Lee Koepp retired after working 40 years in the St. Tammany Parish Courthouse. In an article about her retirement, she told how the parish courthouse progressed through the 1950's and 1960's, through the real estate boom of the 1970's, and the coming of digital technology in the 1980's and 1990's. Her work changed with the times, keeping up with the changes in the parish overall and the Clerk of Court's office serving the judicial district.

"Anna Lee Koepp retired from the St. Tammany Clerk of Court's Office this week after 31 years with that office. Prior to that, she worked for eight and a half years for the sheriff's office. She was honored by dozens of friends and co-workers at a retireent reception held last week." St. Tammany Farmer, January 2, 1997

Here is her story and the story of what the courthouse workers had to do in the fastest growing parish in Louisiana. Click on the images to make them larger and more readable.
