An aerial photo of the Covington Community Center in 1975, with Columbia Street in the top right corner and the grandstand seating area in the bottom left corner. The building was surrounded by baseball fields, tennis courts, and exhibit buildings.

The community center structure was a large building with a couple of basketball courts, dressing rooms and a concession stand. It was used for sports, meetings, Project Graduation and a variety of other events. The curved roof building, top right in the picture above, was torn down to make room for the new National Guard Covington Readiness Center. CLICK HERE for more information about that new facility.
