Folks working in downtown Covington have available a number of restaurants where they can eat a good lunch. One of my favorite places to eat back in the 1980's was the Ground Floor Restaurant. It was a combination health food store and restaurant, so there was the extra benefit of eating healthy. The turkey sandwiches were especially good.
Here is a pictorial map I drew of the first Ground Floor Restaurant, located in the old Southern Hotel. It was an L-shaped business, on the side of and in back of Tugy's Bar on the corner.
In the bottom center, that's me pictured drinking a cup of coffee.

The restaurant eventually moved across Boston St and down the block right across from the St. Tammany Parish Courthouse.
Then it moved along Boston St. closer to St. Scholastica Academy. I drew another pictorial map of the business at that location, where the name had changed to "Sunshine Garden Health Foods."
Pictorial
maps of buildings are a little tricky, since you have to take the roof
off to show what's inside and taking the roof off sometimes makes it
difficult to see what the building looks like.
The Sunshine Garden Health Foods business is now located on Jefferson Avenue just north of 21st Avenue.
