All Saints Day Candles in the Cemetery

For many years, Lacombe area residents have visited their local cemeteries and placed flowers and candles around the graves of their departed loved ones (and ancestors) in a well-known All Saints Day tradition. Every November 1 (the day after Halloween) dozens of participants join in the unusual activity that is meaningful, fascinating and somewhat curious on how it all began.

There are theories, and HERE IS A LINK to an article about one of those theories, but basically it is a family thing that has gone on for decades and probably will continue for decades more.
