In 1913 plans were announced to build the new Covington High School on Jefferson Avenue, what is now the C. J. Schoen Administrative Center. Here is an article from that time published in the New Orleans Item on May 31, 1913. Click on the images to make them larger.
In 1985 work crews pouring a slab at this location found a cornerstone that had been laid for a city-planned school back in 1907, but apparently the school had never been built.
