Homebuilders Organized in Early 1970's

Meetings to discuss the formation of a St. Tammany association of homebuilders began in the early 1970's and culminated in the formation an actual organization in 1977. Here is an article about one of those early exploratory meetings held in 1973. Click on the image for a larger view. 

The St. Tammany Home Builders Association was formed in 1977, and in 2015 merged with the Tangipahoa Home Builders Association to create the Northshore Home Builders Association. They now form the third largest HBA in Louisiana with more than 800 members.
