Margie Abel, Library Supporter Extraordinaire

Anyone visiting the Covington Branch of the St. Tammany Public Library is familiar with the appearance of Margie Abel. There's a plaque commemorating her public service to the public library right there on the entrance foyer wall. 

She was one of the library's biggest supporters, along with other community endeavors close to her heart. Here is an article about her from the 1980's. Click on the image to make it larger.
