The Slidell Triangle

The Front Street, Slidell, area known as "Triangle Square" became quite a landmark in the early years, offering a variety of shops and services, most notably the Triangle Service Station. It was across the street near the Slidell Train Depot.

The Pravata family began selling fuel at the Triangle Garage in 1921, according to "The Early History of Bonfouca and Lake Pontchartrain" by Carl Fedrowisch. The service station operated 24 hours a day to service travelers from New Orleans to the Gulf Coast and became the center of Slidell "action" as well as the Civil Defense.

In addition to the service station was a garage and a car dealership.
