Re-enactments At Bogue Falaya Park

Every so often, a group of Civil War re-enactors would stage a camp scene, with cannons and horses, in Bogue Falaya Park in Covington. It was to show the hardships of life in the 1860's particularly the fighting and casualties. Here are some photographs of one of those re-enactment programs from 33 years ago in 1989.

Some of the participants also visited the St. Tammany Parish Courthouse on Boston Street in downtown Covington to sit for a portrait.
