Sulphur Springs

A hundred years ago, the place to go for cooling off from the summer heat was Sulphur Springs, northeast of Covington.

Sulphur Springs was also a proposed residential area in Covington between Lee Road and the Bogue Falaya River. At one time it was the Poole family estate.

This postcard shows a group of Boy Scouts at their camp at Sulphur Springs near Covington.
